Manthorpe SmartVerge® Linear Dry Verge System GLV-LH
The Manthorpe SmartVerge® Linear Dry Verge System offers a fast, clean, and highly secure mechanical fix solution for finishing the gable edge of a roof. Designed to eliminate the need for traditional mortar bedding, this dry fix roofing system completely removes the risks of mortar cracking, spalling, and weathering over time.
Designed to fit a wide range of roof tiles and roof slates these individual linear verge units provide a crisp, clean aesthetic that preserves the continuous straight line of the roof verge. The system can be easily fitted in any weather condition—including rain and sub-zero temperatures—ensuring zero downtime on site. Furthermore, unlike traditional airtight mortar bedded verges, the dry fix design allows for sub-fascia ventilation pathways to function effectively, contributing to the required continuous airflow within the roof space to significantly reduce the risk of structural condensation and dampness.

Compatibility & Roof Pitch Suitability
The Manthorpe Linear Dry Verge system is a handed product, available in dedicated Left Hand (GLV-LH) and Right Hand (GLV-RH) units. It is highly versatile and compatible with a broad selection of flat and low-profile roof coverings:
Compatible Coverings: Natural Slates, Fibre Cement Slates, and Interlocking Plain Tiles (including specific profiles from Marley, Redland, Forticrete, and Sandtoft).
Roof Pitches: Suitable for roof structures with a pitch ranging from 15° up to 55°.
Verge Design: Fully compatible with standard configurations and traditional sarking board details, accommodating a maximum verge thickness of up to 100mm.
